Laparoscopic surgery is performed using laparoscope and related medical equipment. To be specific, cold light source will be used to provide illumination, laparoscopic lens (3-10mm in diameter) will be inserted into the abdominal cavity, and digital camera will be adopted to make the images captured by the laparoscopic lens pass through the optical fibers to the post-stage signal processing system. The images will then be displayed on a dedicated monitor in real time. Then the doctor analyzes the patient’s condition based on the images displaying different angles of the organs. Later, doctors will apply special laparoscopy equipment to begin the surgical operation.
